I was thrilled to be selected to showcase Éadach at the prestigious Irish luxury retailer Brown Thomas Dublin, for the second year.
This year I developed some of my most popular prints into garments, a capsule collection of kimonos, a cape, scarf and dress. The garments are simple in structure to allow the print and movement of the silk to remain the focus.
‘IN MOTION THEY ARE UNDILUTED ELEGANCE.’ Aisling O’Loughlin, Mail on Sunday
The garments were exclusively designed for Brown Thomas. The kimonos in particular were incredibly popular, selling out three times. The Lost Souls kimono had become a little bit of a legend over the last couple of years- I had made one three years ago for the catwalk but never intended to produce more. Due to demand I decided that Brown Thomas was the perfect place to relaunch this product.
‘KIMONOS HAVE BEEN A TREND ALL SUMMER, BUT SOME OF THE MOST STRIKING IRISH VERSIONS ARE THOSE DESIGNED BY THE NI STYLIST AND ILLUSTRATOR SARA O’NEILL.’ Deirdre McQuillan, The Irish Times
The garments are all silk twill, handmade in Belfast and limited edition. They will be available at Brown Thomas Cork from 12 September.
